Admissions

The SWS lottery is chosen randomly and is open to all students who attend Brookline High School for spots in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. Students must attend an informational meeting and are encouraged to visit SWS classes and Town Meeting.  A parent, dean, counselor and the SWS Coordinator must consent to placement in SWS by signing an approval form. Students not placed in the lottery go on a waitlist. Application materials are posted in December, and the window closes in February. SWS admissions works to (at least) match the demographics of the mainstream high school in diverse representation.

If you're interested in applying to SWS for the 2023-2024 school year, please access the admissions information packet here.
